Toad plays triumphant reunion show in Santa Barbara, opens for Counting Crows, and rings in New Year at LA's Roxy |
January 1, 2003: Toad is back together--for now. Dean, Glen, Randy, and Todd played a triumphant reunion show December 4 in Santa Barbara. The concert was a benefit for the Santa Barbara Rape Crisis Center and featured special guests Nickel Creek. The band then joined Counting Crows, opening a few shows for Duritz & Co. in California, before closing out the year with a New Year's Eve concert at Los Angeles' Roxy. A 24-city tour is planned for February and early March. The band hasn't announced any plans beyond the winter tour, but hasn't ruled anything out, either. (At least, not publicly.) In other news...
As always, stay tuned and keep an eye on the band's official website, ToadTheWetSprocket.com as well as Glen and Lapdog's official sites, respectively: www.glenphillips.com and www.lapdogmusic.com. The Toad-L and Victim lists at Yahoo! Groups are also great places to look for the latest news and discussion. |
